Our First 2026 Event is just Five Weeks Away

Monoposto’s first 2026 event is the HSR Mitty in five weeks.  This is the first of two HSR events on our 2026 schedule that are in response to HSR’s desire to grow open wheel entries.  (The second event is in June at Watkins Glen.)  HSR has committed to having two open wheel run groups at each event, clearly a welcoming gesture particularly to Monoposto Classic classes: formula Vee, formula Junior, Historic and Club Fords and formula B/F2 cars.

A flyer describing HSR’s Grand Prix Classics is below.  HSR has undertaken many positive changes under IMSA ownership, amongst them an enhanced focus on driver etiquette and safety.  HSR has mandated forward facing cameras on all cars and Flagtronics on all cars but not on Grand Prix Classics cars. (See the highlighted area in the flyer.)

HSR’s entry system may take some getting used to and requires that entrants have HSR licenses.  If you already have a current license from a Vintage Motorsports Council member organization, you can get a single event license from HSR for $50.  The process can seem cumbersome, but help is just a short email away from Lyn Hodges Watts (lhwatts@hsrrace.com).

I will be at both events and am willing to help you navigate the entry process, if you find you’re having difficulties just send me a note to travis@engen.net.  I look forward to seeing you at Road Atlanta and then at Watkins Glen with HSR.
