Are You Ready to Race?

Monoposto’s first trip this year to Road America is next weekend.  Because this is the second weekend on the 2026 calendar and because of the large number of Monoposto members for whom this is their home track, I usually expect the event turnout to be strong.  However, the early entry list is light so it looks like the event will be a chance for competitors for the 2026 championships to build an early points lead in their class.

Road America is one of North America’s great tracks: 4 miles long, lots of elevation changes, daunting corners like the Kink, corners that test car balance like the 10 seconds in the Carousel and a layout that is just all out fun to drive.  The long-term weather forecast looks promising as well.  The sunshine and the air temperature at this time of year promise lots of grip and power to make the racing even more enjoyable.

There will be no Monoposto party but the 2025 championship trophies will be on hand for presentation to last year’s champions.  If I don’t find you, stop by the GMT paddock area (typically located at the hot pit exit into the paddock.)  I look forward to seeing you at the track.
