Congratulations are due to the six racers who are the Monoposto Champions for 2025. They are: Jacques Dresang - Historic Formula Ford, Steve Beeler - Club Ford, Bruce Hamilton - Formula B, Josh Boller - Formula Atlantic, Tom Simpson - Formula 5000, and Joel Quadracci - Indy Lights. Trophies are on order and will be available by the time of our first 2026 event.
After much work the 2026 schedule is available. While it looks like the 2025 schedule there are differences that should please open-wheel drivers.
Here is the Schedule:
Organizer | Track | Dates | Classes
HSR | Road Atlanta | 4/23 | - | 4/26/26 | All
SVRA | Road America | 5/14 | - | 5/17/26 | All
HSR | Watkins Glen | 6/11 | - | 6/14/26 | All
SVRA | Indy | 6/18 | - | 6/21/26 | All
VARAC | CTMP/Mosport | 6/18 | - | 6/21/26 | All
Road America | Road America | 7/14 | - | 7/19/26 | All
CASC/VARAC | CTMP/Mosport | 7/23 | - | 7/26/26 | All
VSCDA | Grattan | 8/14 | - | 8/16/26 | All but Indy Lights
SVRA | Watkins Glen | 9/10 | - | 9/13/26 | All
VSCDA | Road America | 9/18 | - | 9/20/26 | All
SVRA | COTA | 11/5 | - | 11/8/26 | All
There are several things about the schedule to note. First is the addition of the HSR event at Watkins Glen. HSR has expressed interest in growing their open-wheel grids and for the two events on our schedule have committed to separating the Monoposto Classic and F70/Indy Lights cars into two separate run groups at these events. It will greatly reinforce HSR’s initiative if we are able to bring a significant number of open-wheel cars to both events. One thing to be aware of is that, while HSR has mandated forward facing video systems and Flagtronics in all cars, Monoposto has requested a waiver for open-wheel cars this year.
The second thing to consider is the addition of a second event at CTMP/Mosport to the Monoposto schedule. For many years now the SVRA Indy event and the VARAC Grand Prix have been held on the same weekend forcing drivers to choose which of these iconic tracks to put on their schedule. This year you don’t have to as CASC and VARAC have established an open-wheel only event at CTMP/Mosport for late July.
Finally, remember that Monoposto scoring will consider your best 10 races to select the winner in each of our 11 classes and those with a minimum of 3 events (6 races) we be eligible for championship trophies like the six drivers announced above.
As always I look forward to seeing you at an event this year.
